The forum was led by F-CCCC president, Angela Magill, who stated this was an important event to help the community make an informed decision when it comes time to vote.
"While the community council does not officially back either candidate," stated Magill. "We feel it is important to get to know the candidates so that we can make an educated decision on who we feel will help our community in the long run. This forum is an excellent way to bring that knowledge to the residents of our community and the public as a whole."
Many questions asked were from passionate long-time residents of the Frederickson and Graham areas that are interested in how the candidates - Marilyn Rasmussen (D) and Jim McCune (R) - would bring focus to the important issues they felt are being overlooked in these rural communities.
"I'm glad that they took time from their busy schedules to attend," remarked John Marshall, F-CCCC Secretary. "I think they learned a little more about our community and the community learned a little more about each candidate."
Both candidates have worked at the state level as representatives for the area.
